As a family medicine provider, we serve both children and adults. Our pediatric care includes well-child check-ups, immunizations, physicals, and visits for various ailments.
Our recommended well-child check timeline begins at birth and phases out around age 5. We like to have newborn visits at 1-2 weeks of age, a 2-month visit with immunizations, 4-month visit with immunizations, 6-month visit with immunizations, 9-month visit, and a 1-year visit with immunizations. After one year we generally recommend a 15-month visit, an 18-month visit, and finally a visit after the child’s second birthday. The majority of children will have yearly visits through age 4-5 at which point they’ll receive the last round of immunizations until they reach the age of 12.
We always want to help our patients feel better, so we make it a priority to have daytime appointments available for sick visits. Calling our office as early as possible is the best way to ensure you get a same-day appointment. We’ll always do our best to get our patients in for a visit and on their way to feeling better.
Athletic and school physicals are a great time to get 10-18 year-olds into the doctor, make sure they’re developing correctly, and get them caught up on any immunizations they’re lacking. These physicals are usually done in late summer or early in the school year. We make special considerations when scheduling these visits because we want kids to have priority so they can get out and active as quickly as possible. Give us a call and we’ll schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
