Women’s Health Care

Comprehensive, Connected Support for Women

Infinity Medical Clinic is a trusted provider of women’s health care. We are providing comprehensive well-woman exams. Women who visit our office are seeking some of the same services they receive at a larger GYN clinic. That is to say, they find comfort in a more personal, small clinic atmosphere.

Women’s health usually has multiple contributing factors that require extra attention. With the fluctuation of hormones, women are more vulnerable to dysregulation, which can create more complex issues. Our wide range of capabilities and specialties allow us to cater to a diversity of needs throughout the women’s healthcare spectrum. We provide all of our patients with comprehensive, connected support throughout every stage of life.

We proudly provide our patients with preventative medicine practices to keep them as healthy as possible. These practices include gynecology screenings, pap smears, and breast exams, based on age and risk factors.

Cervical Care

Cervical cancer is cancer that is found in the lowermost part of the uterus, the cervix. Cervical cancer is a risk for every woman and can occur with little or no symptoms. So, we recommend and provide Pap Smear testing for early detection.

Pap Smear Testing

Pap smears are recommended every three years for women between the ages of 21 and 65. In addition to signaling cervical cancer, pap smears also check for human papillomavirus (HPV). Routine gynecologic care is the most effective way to protect against disease and infection.

Breast Care

Early detection gives women affected by breast cancer the best chance for survival. For example, the most reliable tool for doing so is the clinical breast exam and mammogram.

Our procedures are very valuable techniques for detecting diseases of the breast, particularly breast cancer, but some women have conditions that warrant more specialized breast care and treatment. Our breast care specialists can evaluate your breast health and diagnose diseases using a range of testing and state-of-the-art equipment.

Common Symptoms of Breast Cancer

While not everyone has the same symptoms of breast cancer or any symptoms at all, here are a few common things to look for:

  • A change in the size or shape of your breast.
  • Pain in the area around or on your breast.
  • Discharge from your nipples (not breastmilk). This can sometimes include blood.
  • A new lump in your breast or underarm.

If you have any signs of things that are worrying you, contact us today to schedule an appointment for procedural services for cervical, breast, or uterine concerns.

STI testing and birth control

If you are sexually active, getting tested for STDs is one of the most important things you can do to protect your health. Make sure you have an open and honest conversation about your sexual history and STD testing with your doctor and ask whether you should be tested for STDs. Some infections do not show up immediately after sex and you may need to wait in order to get accurate test results.

We do confidential STI testing and can prescribe birth control pills as well as place long-term birth control such as Nexplanon or IUDs, with insurance coverage. We can prescribe birth control options that work for you, whether that is a Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) or an oral contraceptive.

Contraceptive Management

How do you choose the right birth control for you? We eliminate the confusion and help you pick the birth control that fits your lifestyle and needs the best.

IUDs are a commonly used form of birth control because they are 99% effective, long-lasting, easily reversible, and for women of all ages. We have different-sized IUDs and IUDs that last for different periods of time.

hormone therapy

We provide the placement, replacement, and removal of all forms of LARC, including Nexplanon and IUDs (Mirena, Kyleena, Skyla).

  • Mirena – Mirena® is a hormone-releasing IUD that is over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy for as long as you want, for up to 5 years. Mirena can be used whether or not you have had a child. Mirena also treats heavy periods.
  • Kyleena -Kyleena® is a hormone-releasing IUD that prevents pregnancy for up to 5 years. Kyleena is the smallest IUD and can be used whether or not you have had a child.
  • Skyla – Skyla® is an IUD that releases a low dose of hormones and is over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. Skyla can be used whether or not you have given birth to a child.

IUDs are safe, and effective, and many of them are not only used for birth control but also can be used between the ages of 40 and 50 to control the abnormal bleeding and symptoms of perimenopause.
